Double Bill Presentation
The Procurement (Purchase)
and Receipt Inspection of
Welding Materials
by Walt Stein
|
|
Walt Stein is a metallurgist and technical writer with some fifteen years' experience in all of the major metal-manufacturing processes. He worked as Procurement Engineer for the KG&E Nuclear Power plant at Wolf Creek and Stolle Corporation, and as Fabrication Engineer for Wisconsin Centrifugal.
Walt will discuss a ten-point procurement procedure he developed for the purchase of base metals. These ten points can be reversed in order for cost-effective receipt-inspection criteria.
He will then initiate a short round-table discussion for the application of this procedure to filler metals and atmospheres, including items like SAW fluxes.

A history of oxy-fuel gas apparatus and control equipment
by Eric Keipper, Victor Equipment Co.
|
Eric Keipper has been with Victor Equipment 24 years.
Eric has been involved with innumerable applications of oxy-fuel gas apparatus and control equipment.
He will discuss what's new in the business, from the astounding to the absurd. Eric brings an enjoyable mix of serious technology, proper procedure, and just enough silliness to have some fun.
