A Nadcap and NAS-410-3 seminar was held on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 22 and 23, 2009 at Moraine Valley Community College in Fogelson Theater,
Palos Heights, Illinois. The fourteen attendees came mostly from Illinois.
In an open-forum-type classroom, Israel Vasquez of Vastek Consulting made the two-day presentation.
Israel is the lead Nadcap auditor aside from his normal NDT consulting business.
Students and instructor entertained an open discussion over the two days, and a number of practical applications from industry were reviewed.
The entire Nadcap audit process was developed from start to finish. Particular emphasis on preparation,
checklist review, audit demeanor, and close out of sessions was made. The NAS 410-3 revisions were reviewed.
A presentation of methods on how to prepare personnel files for Nadcap examination completed the seminar.
